Franklin Carter Shelton

Franklin Carter Shelton, 70 of Vidor died Sunday, September 13th, 2020 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. He was a longtime resident of Vidor. Franklin served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of VFW post # 8246. He was retired and enjoyed playing pool and woodworking. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 18, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with cremation to follow. Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, brother and grandson. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Helen Shelton of Vidor, TX, son Shane Shelton of Winnie, TX, daughter Sarah Shelton of Vidor, TX, cousins, a aunt, a uncle and 3 grandchildren.
