Frank "Cliff" Carter Sr., 72, of Vidor, TX died Monday, December 16th, 2019 Focused Care Nursing Home in Orange. A native of Beaumont he served his country in the U.S. Army. Frank worked as a supervisor for Southwestern Bell and was the owner of Carter Racing Enterprises. After retiring he was the owner of Jaco Sales and Rental and enjoyed working on engines, race cars and heavy equipment but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, December 20, 2019 at Pecan Acres Baptist Church from 9:00a.m to 11:00a.m. with funeral services at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow at Stephenson Cemetery. Frank is survived by his wife of 53 years; Jane Carter, 1 daughter; Debra Garlington and her husband Chad of Vidor, 1 son; Frank Clifton Carter Jr and his wife Heather of Lumberton, 4 grandchildren; Tray Harris, Nicholas Carter, Cameron Carter, and Tatum Garlington, 2 great granddaughters; Madison and Olivia and 2 brothers; H.L. Carter and Arthur Carter. Frank was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren; Rex Garlington, Benjamin Carter and Kaden Carter.
