Floyd L. Parker, 69, of Vidor died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at his residence. A native of Yazoo City, MS, he was a longtime resident of Ripley, MS and Vidor, TX. Floyd was a retired Pipefitter and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Gautier, MS, he also was a Shriner and a past member of Local Union #117 in MS. Floyd served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. Floyd was preceded in death by his daughter Darlene Carol Parker, brother JD Parker, sisters Jimmie Nell Lawrence and Bobbie Rea Ingram, and grandson Jason Parker. He is survived by his wife Judy Parker of Vidor, Loving companion until the end Barbara Swarers of Vidor, sons Jimmy Parker and his wife Glenda of Vidor, Floyd Parker, Jr. of Waco, TX, Johnny Parker and his wife Eva of Vidor, Glenn Parker and his wife Candi of Vidor, Tim Parker and his wife Melissa of Katy, TX, daughters Kim Campbell and her husband Greg, Jannasa Myers and her husband Bradley and Karlei Swarers all of Vidor, brothers Joe Parker of Canton, MS, Kenneth Parker of Ripley, MS, Ronnie Parker of Phoenix, AR, sister Bonnie Davis of Ripley, MS, 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
