Floyd J. Seymour, 76, of Vidor died Saturday, May 27, 2006 at his residence. A native of Nome, TX. After 45 years of faithful service he retired as Vice-President of Smith Material Corp. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with entombment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 29, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. He was preceded in death by his parents Abe and Ozite Seymour, son William Joseph Seymour, brothers Roy Seymour, and Luke Seymour, and sister Florence Burton. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Delmar Seymour of Vidor, daughter Janice Loftin of Vidor, sons Floyd David Seymour of Houston, Monte McDaniel of Vidor, and Tommy McDaniel of Woodville, TX., brothers Percy Seymour of Elton, LA., and Ruby Seymour of Beaumont, TX., nine grandchildren: Heath Seymour, William Ray Seigrist, Allison Droddy, Marshellia Loftin, Alex and Elize Cogbill McDaniel, Dali Mann, Ginger McDaniel, and Austin McDaniel, and four great grandchildren: Zachary Joseph Seigrist, Nekisha Spoonemore, Jodie Loftin, and Colton Mann. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Department in Houston, TX.
