Faye A. Blankenship, 84, of Vidor died Monday, Febrauary 4, 2013 at Senior Nursing and Rehab Nursing Home in Port Arthur. A lifelong resident of Vidor, she was a great seamstress and homemaker. Faye was a longtime member of First United Pentecostal Church of Vidor, and well known for her three-wheeled bike she rode to and from Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Del Rose Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home. Faye was preceded in death by her husband George Leon Blankenship, sons Thomas W. Blankenship and Ronnie D. Blankenship, parents Monroe and Ethel Perkins, brothers Bernice Perkins, Chester Perkins, and Tommy Perkins, and her sister Dorothy LaCour. Faye is survived by her son Jesse L. Blankenship of Fannett, TX., sister Joy Poston of Port Arthur, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
