Fancher Elbert Jordan

Fancher E. Jordan, 89, of Vidor died Sunday, February 1, 2009 in Vidor. A native of Garrison, TX., he has lived in Vidor since 2003. He served his country during WWII and retired from the United States Army. He was a member of Pine Forest Masonic Lodge # 1420, Vidor Eastern Star Chapter # 914, and the Scottish Rights in Swainsboro, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. Fancher was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Jordan, and his sister Mrs. A.K. Windham. He is survived by his son Talmadge Spence of LaGrange, GA., brother Paul P. Jordan, Sr of Vidor, and sister Betty Jo Snelson of Orange, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
