Evelyn Smith-Gould

Evelyn Smith-Gould, 82, of Vidor, TX died Friday, June 21st, 2019 at Oakwood Manor Nursing & Rehab. A native of Joaquin, TX she was a longtime resident of Vidor and Mauriceville. Evelyn was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed working in her yard, going to the lake and camping at the deer lease. She also enjoyed meeting for lunch with her high school friends each month but she especially enjoyed spending quality time with her family. Visitation will be Monday, June 24, 2019 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Evelyn is survived by 2 daughters; Cindi Gould of Brookeland, TX and Sheila Cooley and Milton Goss of Mauriceville , TX, 2 sons; Don Gould and his wife Alison of Mauriceville and Ron Gould also of Mauriceville, 6 grandchildren; Justin Gould and his wife Kelly of Vidor, Brittany Hughes and her husband Joe of Bridge City, TX, Laci Gould and Tyler Peet of Mauriceville, Trey Cooley of Mauriceville, Roamy Gould of Singer, LA, and Dillion Gould of Mauriceville. She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren; Coty Gould of Vidor and Ryker Roberts of Bridge City, and 1 great-great grandson; Raylan Tuff Sirmons of Silsbee, TX. Evelyn was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Virgie Ruth Smith and Opal Daniels, 1 brother and sister-in-law; Lou and Bessie Smith, and 1 great grandson; Jonathan Blake Sirmons.
