Gene Gallier, 74, of Vidor died Sunday, April 26, 2004 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX. A native of Nederland, TX., he resided in Vidor since 1937. Gene was a pipefitter with local union #195, a member of the V.F.W. post 8246 in Vidor and a member of Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2004 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Del-Rose Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Gene is survived by his wife Betty Janise Gallier of Vidor, TX., sons: Perry Gallier and Lewis Gallier both of Vidor, TX., daughter: Connie Gould of Vidor, TX., brothers: Jack Gallier of Vidor, TX., Sammy Gallier of Sam Rayburn, TX., Ronnie Gallier of Livingston, TX., sisters: Loyce Hoffstetter of Lake Charles, LA., Betty Wise of Warren, TX., Peggy Jo Doucet of Ville Platte, LA., 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
