Ethel Trahan Shirley

Ethel Trahan Shirley, 85, of Vidor, passed away on Monday, June 19th, 2023 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and a dedicated member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. Ethel was a retired nurse and enjoyed participating in activities such as bowling and playing cards.

The visitation for Ethel will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, starting at 9:00 AM. The funeral service will commence at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Ethel is survived by her loving husband, Otis Shirley of Vidor, TX, and her children: Deborah Batey of Phil Campbell, AL; Donna Fountain and husband Johnny of Vidor, TX; Danna Dryden and husband Bo of Vidor, TX; and Billy Manning and wife Ashley of Orange, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Linda, and brother, Clifford. Ethel was cherished by her nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Paul Trahan, and her sister, Edith Yawn.

Ethel Trahan Shirley will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her faith, and her compassionate nature. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
