Ethel Bernice Parker, 53, of Vidor died Thursday, September 23, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, she was raised in Kennard, TX and was a long time resident of Vidor. Ethel was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Ethel is survived by her son: Wayne Higgins of Conroe, TX., daughters: Julie Higgins of Conroe, TX., Penny Seigrist and Donnie Pierce both of Vidor, TX., father: Cleon Stubblefield of Kennard, TX., mother: Ethel Smith and her husband Billy Joe of Vidor, TX., brothers: Billy Joe Smith, Jr. Of Vidor, TX., William Smith of Jasper, TX., sisters: Alta Okun of Buna, Tx., Kim Davis of Houston, TX., Johnnie Lawson of Vidor, TX., Jeanie Stubblefield and Teresa Stubblefield both of Kennard, TX., and 6 grandchildren.
