Estelle T. 'Aunt Red' Rushing

Estelle Rushing, 88, of Vidor died Sunday, June 6, 2010 at her residence. She was a native of Milam, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Estelle was a homemaker and during WW II she was a welder for the ship yards and worked on battleships. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Estelle was preceded in death by her son Jerry Rushing and grandson Grady Simmons. She is survived by her sons Douglas Rushing and his wife Anita of Vidor, TX, Duke Rushing and his wife Lucy of Brea, CA, Norman Rushing and his wife Jessy of Melissa, TX, daughters Glyndia Fancher, and Brenda Peoples both of Beaumont, TX, Charlotte Rushing of Mauriceville, TX, brother Ellington Milam of Vidor, TX, 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
