Erskine Alfred Freeman

Erskine A. Freeman, 84, of Vidor died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at his residence. A native of Walker County, AL., he was a lifetime resident of Alabama, and resided in Vidor for the past 2 years. He retired after 40 years with Alabama Power Co as a painter. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and was a member of the VFW in Alabama. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Del Rose Cemetery in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the funeral home. He is survived by his son Norman Freeman, and daughter Mary Ruth Harris of Vidor, two grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
