Ernest Marion Stone

Ernest M. Stone, 83, of Vidor died Monday, November 21st, 2016 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Houston, Texas, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Ernest was a Civil Engineer for Arco/Millennium for over 30 years before retiring. He was a 1955 Texas A&M graduate and served his country in the US Army. Ernest enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors, but most of all he loved doing genealogy research. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, November 28, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home. Ernest is survived by his wife of 37 years Jimmie Stone of Vidor, TX, son David Stone of San Antonio, TX, daughter Lisa Stone of Houston, TX, step-son Robert Woodin II of Vidor, TX, step-daughters Mary Elizabeth McCune of Silsbee, TX, Cathy Gladden of Fernandino Beach, FL, Caroline Miller of Hamshire, TX, Wendy Lee Cote of DeRidder, LA, sister Carla Elizabeth Lee of Houston, TX, 2 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren
