Erma Lee Billie" Jones

Billie Jones, 93, of Vidor went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Macon County, Georgia, she has lived in Vidor for 58 years, and was a homemaker, and an accomplished seamstress. She was a church nursery worker, and a member of the Glory Singers and Glory Band at First Baptist Church of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Vidor. Billie was preceded in death by her husband Walter P. "Slim" Jones, four brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her daughters Sharon Kelley and husband Talmadge of Nashville, TN., and Barbara Haley of Vidor, sister Lois Pritchard and husband Paul of Carriere, MS., six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home of Vidor and Odyssey Hospice Healthcare, who took such wonderful care of our mother.
