Emmie Lee West

Emmie L. West, 95, of Vidor died Thursday, March 18, 2004 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor, TX. A native of McComb, MS., she has lived in Vidor since 1956, and was a retired janitor with the Vidor Independent School District. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 20, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, and 4:00 p.m. on March 21, 2004 at Oak Grove Bible Baptist Church in Hornbeck, LA., under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hornbeck, LA. Visitation will begin Friday, March 19, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, 2004 at Oak Grove Bible Baptist Church in Hornbeck, LA. Emmie is survived by her sons, Melvin West, and James West both of Vidor, and daughter, Melvis Chance of Vidor, fourteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.br br
