Emily Baker

Emily Baker, 72, of Vidor died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in Baytown, Texas. Emily was born on July 29, 1937 in Bunkie, Louisiana to Kirby and Cesna Dufour. Emily was a lifelong resident of Vidor before moving Baytown two years ago. She was a former member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints both in Vidor, she is a current member of Golden Glow Marantha Church in Mont Belvieu, TX. She was a member of the Avon Presidents Club. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. and a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Baker, Sr, and daughter Sara Lambert. Emily is survived by her son Donnie Baker and wife Dorene of Vidor, TX, daughter Glenda McPherson and husband Bruce of Baytown, TX, brother Riley Dufour, sisters Earline McGuire, Peggy Bogeskia, Nira Daigrepont all of Louisiana, 11 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
