Elmer Jasper, Sr.

Elmer Jasper Sr., 91,died Saturday, October 15th, 2016 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Silsbee, TX he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Elmer loved to fish, hunt, working in his vegetable garden and spending time with his family and friends. He worked as a tugboat operator for 40 years. Elmer was a member of Victory Bible Baptist Church in Vidor for many years and also a senior Deacon at the church. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 18, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Elmer is survived by his loving wife, Luthine Jasper of 70 years, 1 son, Larry Jasper and his wife Dee of Vidor and 1 daughter, Joyce McDaniel ahd her husband Windell of Vidor. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Clarence Jones and 1 sister, Ruby Matkins. He was preceded in death by a son, Elmer Jasper, Jr.
