Elmer Dale Chandler

Elmer D. Chandler, 91, of Vidor died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at his residence. A native of Bochita, OK., he has lived in Vidor since 1953, and was a retired iron worker after 22 years of faithful service with Local #125. Elmer served his country in the United States Army. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. Elmer is survived by his wife of 67 years Ruth Chandler of Vidor, sons Dale Ray Chandler, and Roger Glyn Chandler both of Vidor, and Foye Edward Chandler of Bradington, FL., daughter Betty Jean Mitchell of Summerville, SC., fourteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.
