Ellen Ann Ledger

Ellen Ann Ledger, 89 of Vidor, passed away Monday, September 3rd, 2018 at Brookdale Dowlen Oaks in Beaumont, TX. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 9:00 pm Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Liberty Catholic Cemetery in Liberty, TX at 3:30 pm. Ellen was born in Batson, TX, on July 26, 1929, to Reba and Martin E. Kennedy Jr. Her parents always had a grocery store, where in her younger years she played and would later work. After graduating from Orange High School, she worked as a clerk at the Whitehouse clothing store in Beaumont. Later she married Kenneth V. Ledger and was married for 65 years. They spent most of their lives in Beaumont raising their family; also living in Liberty, Victoria, Corpus Christi, and Finally retiring in Vidor. She is survived by her son, Glenn Ledger and his wife Joanne; grandchildren Chris Ledger and his wife Jamie, and Tracie Granger and her husband Barren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reba and Martin E. Kennedy Jr., husband Kenneth V. Ledger, and daughter Lea Ann Ledger.
