Edward Eugene Loftin

Gene Loftin, 67, of Vidor died Friday, February 1, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. A lifelong resident of Vidor, he was a retired construction worker with Smarts Truck Trailer, and proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the funeral home. Gene was preceded in death by his son Johnny Loftin, parents John and Mary Loftin, and his brother Roy Loftin. He is survived by his wife of 19 years Tina Loftin of Vidor, daughters Pam Loftin, and Cindy Anderson both of Vidor, Bobbie Patin of Orange, and Heather Burroughs of Vidor, brothers Louis Loftin of Sour Lake, and Carl Loftin of Conroe, TX., sister JoAnn Traves of Elmdorf, TX., and six grandchildren, and the mother of his children Ginger Loftin of Vidor.
