Edward Eugene Franks

Edward E. Franks, 71, of Vidor died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Call, TX., Ed was a longtime resident of Vidor, and a planner for 34 years with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant in Beaumont. Ed served his country in the United States Air Force. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with cremation to follow at Haven of Rest Crematory in Orange. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Robert Tines and Johnnie Bell Franks, and sister Margie Bell Griner. Ed is survived by his wife Joycelyn Franks of Vidor, daughters Donna Desormeaux and husband Jimmy of Vidor, Karen Nickoli and husband Victor of Bristol, TX., brothers Jim Bob Franks of Topeka, KS., and John T. Franks of Beaumont, grandchildren: Britney Subel, Brooke McClain, Braxton Desormeaux, great grandchildren: Austin Subel, Lilly Subel, Brayden Subel, and London McClain, and by many friends and loved ones.
