Edward Earl "Ed" Strickland

Edward Earl "Ed" Strickland, 92, of Vidor, TX died Tuesday, June 16th, 2020 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Ed served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and retired from Mobil Oil after 40 plus years. Ed enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park. Ed is survived by daughter; Linda Payne and her husband Larry of Vidor, granddaughter; Kristi Payne also of Vidor, grandson; Kevin Payne of Houston, 2 great granddaughters; Lorena and Lola Payne and sister; Juanita Kilmer of Vidor. Ed was preceded in death by his wife; Lorena Raye Strickland. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.
