Edna Clary Phillips, 85 died Thursday, June 11th, 2015. She was a proud lifelong resident of Vidor who volunteered her time and love at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont for 20 years. Edna loved to travel and was very devoted to her immediate family and extended family. She had a litttle dog named Roscoe whom she also loved very much. Edna is survived by 2 sons, James W. Phillips, Jr. and wife Janeen of Mauriceville and I.B. Phillips and wife Jeanne of Vidor. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Robert Phillips of Vidor, Amy Phillips Reeves and husband Chris of Groves, Melissa Phillips Wood of Beaumont, Alison Phillips Smith of Nederland, Misty Rountree Ferguson and husband Jason of Pt. Neches, 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, sister, Doris Clary of Vidor, and her little dog Roscoe. Edna was joined in death by her longtime companion Richard Ames. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Phillips, Sr., her parents, 4 brothers, and her aunt Clara Clary. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Singleton Cemetery in Vidor.
