Edna Joyce Allen

Joyce Allen, 72, of Vidor died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. A native of Beaumont, she was a lifelong resident of Vidor, and a retired physicians assistant with Dr. Russell. Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Mansfield Cemetery in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter Penny Smith. She is survived by her husband Herman Allen, sons Andy Carroll Simmons, and Charles Allen Simmons all of Vidor, daughters Holly Jones and Alice Ladner both of Vidor, Sheila Smith of Lafayette, LA., Lisa Jones of Kountze, and Quan Birdwell of Vidor, brother Wayne Musick of Beaumont, sister Tommie Ann Musick of Lake Charles, LA., fifteen grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren.
