Edith Odell Thompson

Edith O. Thompson, 100, of Vidor died Friday, June 22, 2012 at her residence. A native of Anson, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Edith was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Val-Verde Baptist Church in Holland, Texas, with burial to follow at Val-Verde Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Monday, June 25, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Edithe was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Len” Thompson, son Douglas L. Thompson Sr, grandson Billy Conn Jr. She is survived by her son George D. Thompson, daughter Mary L. Cargill, and a special daughter-in-law Kathy Thompson Lewis, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great grandchild and many other family and friends.
