Dwayne "Wayne" Warren Acree, 57, passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 17th, 2023. He had been a longtime resident of Mauriceville, cherished by his community and loved ones. Dwayne's roots were in Gelena, TX, where he was raised and nurtured. He made his mark as a skilled boilermaker before retiring, and his talents also extended to being a capable and resourceful handyman. He possessed a remarkable ability to fix, mend, and create with his hands, leaving a trail of skillful craftsmanship wherever he went. In the great outdoors, Dwayne found his solace. He was an avid hunter, with a deep connection to the land and a keen understanding of nature. Fishing was another of his passions, as he found tranquility by the water's edge, waiting for the perfect catch. His woodworking skills were a testament to his creative spirit, shaping wood into beautiful and functional pieces. Dwayne is survived by his daughter, Alexa Acree of Mauriceville, TX, who he loved deeply and unconditionally. His grandson, Rylan "Blue" Acree of Mauriceville, TX, was a source of pride and joy in his life. He is also survived by Alexa's mother, Laurie Acree of Mauriceville, TX, and step son Joey Constantin. Dwayne's legacy continues through the memories shared with his loved ones. Dwayne was preceded in death by his father, David Acree, and his mother, Judy Acree, sisters, Brandi Majszak and Belinda Acree. Dwayne "Wayne" Warren Acree's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the nature he loved, the creations he crafted, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
