Doug Baker, 78, of Vidor died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at his residence in Vidor. A native of Beaumont, TX, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Doug was a carpenter with local union #753 and served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ-Latte Day Saints in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ-Latter Day Saints in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. Doug was preceded in death by his brother Robert Baker. He is survived by his wife Maxine Baker of Vidor, TX, sons Garry and Glenn Foerster both of Giddings, TX, Steve Foerster of Arkansas, Howard Baker and Douglas Paul Baker, Jr both of Vidor, TX, daughters Darlene K. Baker Williams of Odessa, TX, Sherry Foerster Briggs of Shelley, ID, brother William Baker of Spring, TX, 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
