Douglas O. Thornhill Jr.

Douglas O. Thornhill, Jr, 77, of Vidor, TX died Saturday, February 1st, 2020. A native of Beaumont he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Douglas loved being outdoors, working in his garden and sitting on his porch but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Williamson Cemetery. Douglas is survived by his loving wife of 57 years; Martha Thornhill, 3 daughters; Cristal Burt of Groves, TX, Carol Thornhill of Vidor, and Lisa Comeaux and her husband Curtis of Vidor, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He is also survived by 2 sisters; Martha Thomas and Anna Thornhill both of Vidor and 1 brother; Thomas Norris of Vinton, LA. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; Douglas Thornhill Sr. and Francis Norris, 1 son; John Thornhill, 1 son-in-law; Darrell Burt along with 3 brothers.
