Douglas Eugene Jones

Douglas E. Jones, 80, of Vidor died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at his residence. A native of Hickbough, TX., he has lived in Vidor for 45 years, and proudly served his country and retired from the United States Army. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Votaw Cemetery in Votaw, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Jones, son Donald Eugene Jones, daughter Carmen Lynn Jones, and his sister Ophelia Harrison. He is survived by his son William Douglas Jones of Vidor, daughters Brenda Joyce of West Moreland, AL., Linda Jones Anderson, and Monika Jones both of Vidor, brother Gilbert A. Jones of Warren, sister Ethel Marie Sumrall of Votaw, Gladys Jones of CA., and Effie Gibson of Beaumont, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
