Dorothy Marie Anderson

Dorothy Marie Anderson, 86, of Vidor, TX died Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at her home. A native of Brookeland, TX she was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of New Life Assembly of God. She enjoyed going to church and devoted her life to the women's ministry and service to others. Dorothy liked sewing, doing crafts, baking, and going antiquing but she especially loved to spend time with her family. Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at The Dwelling Place with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Dorothy is survived by 4 sons; Henry Anderson, Jr and his wife Sherry of Vidor, Dwayne Anderson and his wife Michelle also of Vidor, Mark Christopher Anderson of Baytown, TX and Clifton Clarence Anderson, Sr and his wife Sherry Lee, 2 daughters; Glenda Marie Broussard of Vidor and Pamela Gail Anderson of Georgetown, TX. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 4 sisters; Joe Boy Bridges, Catherine Bridges, Pat LeBlanc and Sherry Dale Bridges. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband; Rev. Henry T. Anderson, Sr., 1 daughter; Sharon Lavon Swarthout, 1 granddaughter; Christina Marie Adams, and 2 grandsons; Nathaniel Broussard and Jacob Christopher Anderson.
