Dorothy L. English-DeWitt, 69, of Vidor, TX died Saturday, April 14th, 2018 in Beaumont, TX. A native of Ft. Dix, NJ she was a longtime resident of Vidor and enjoyed reading, traveling, fishing, camping, and surfing the internet. She especially enjoyed raising children. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 18, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Del Rose Cemetery in Vidor. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 34 years Charles DeWitt, 1 daughter; Angela Cook, 2 sons; Robert Truax and Daniel Truax all of Vidor. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 sisters; Mary Lou Howell, Virginia Taylor and Margaret Joiner, and 1 brother; Johnny English. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; William Sr. and Ruth English, 1 granddaughter; Nicole Benton, 1 brother; William English, and 1 sister; Ruthie McMellon.
