Doris L. Wright

Doris Wright, born, March 2, 1937, entered into Heaven surrounded by her loved ones on March 22, 2007. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Vidor. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park of Vidor. Visitation with family and friends will be from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday March 23, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Vidor. Doris was a native of Shelby County and graduated from Center High School in 1955. She lived in Vidor for the last 43 years. She opened her home and her heart to all those in need and always had a pie ready to brighten your day. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Vidor, Sunday School and loved by all who knew her. She was also a dedicated volunteer at both St. Christus and Baptist Hospitals. Doris is survived by her loving husband, Lamech, of 52 years and daughters Cynthia Page and her husband Brad of Katy, TX; Pamela Braneff of Vidor; and son Timothy Wright and his wife Felicia of Vidor; brother David Askew of Buna, TX; grandchildren Duncan Page, Josh Page, Lauren Page, Ben Braneff, Stephanie Braneff, Allie Braneff, Nick Braneff, Kristan Wright, Jacob Wright, Justin Wright, Michelle Wright and Megan Wright; extended family Jerry and Jerrica Leonard, Betsy and Ted Hanchey, Stephanie and David Camp, Henderson and Mary Ellen Braneff and Billy Braneff; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Doris requested in lieu of floral tributes, donations be made to First Baptist of Vidor, attention Building Fund, 410 N. Main St, Vidor, TX 77662.
