Dora Elizabeth Moran

Dora E. Moran, 84, of Beaumont died Sunday, October 26, 2003 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Sabine Parrish, LA., she was a longtime resident of Vidor before moving to Hotel Beaumont. Mrs. Moran was a retired bookkeeper for The Vidor Vidorian after 18 years of service. She was a proud member of the Pilot Club of Beaumont, The Ladies Auxillary of 1st Baptist Church of Beaumont, she also volunteered at the soup kitchen at Central Baptist Church of Vidor for two years, and she was proud to have been able to teach Sunday School to many. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 30, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. She is survived by her brother, Odis Jake “O.J.” Moran of Walker LA., sister, Bobbye Farrar of Heflin LA., and numerous nieces nephews, great nieces nephews, and great-great nieces nephews, and many loving friends.
