Donald "Don" Roy Smith, Sr. 77, of Vidor, TX died Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 in Pt. Arthur, TX. A native of Shreveport, LA he enjoyed going to the casinos, especially Delta Downs. Don liked taking care of others when needed but he especially loved to take care of his grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, February 16, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Don is survived by his loving wife Patricia Smith of 36 years, 6 sons; Donald Roy Smith Jr. of Beaumont, Kelly Smith of Michigan, Chris Smith and his wife Tarra of High Island, TX, Stephen Smith and his wife Laura of Nederland, TX, Joey Johnson and his wife Jennifer of Vidor, and Cory Johnson also of Vidor. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 brother; Wallace Smith of Vidor and1 sister; Dorothy Mitchell of Vidor. Don was preceded in death by his parents; B.E. and Gladys Smith, 1 brother; Aubrey Smith and 1 grandson; Reagan Smith.
