Delane 'Bubba' Lear

August 19, 1946 — December 5, 2012

Bubba Lear, 66, of Vidor died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Minden, LA., he has lived in Vidor since 1973, and was a retired railroad engineer after 39 years with Kansas City Southern Railroad. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Bubba enjoyed little league coaching, being with family and friends, hunting, bowling, and fishing. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Friday, December 7, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Vidor. Bubba is survived by his wife of 43 years Ina Lear, son Jamie Lear, daughter Teresa Fledderjohn all of Vidor, parents John and Johnnie Lear of Arcadia, LA., sister LaWanda Heildebrandt of Marshall, TX., and five grandchildren: Scott Fledderjohn, Justin Fledderjohn, James Lear, Travis Lear, and Macy Lear.
