Debbie L. Spurgeon, 60 of Orange died Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, TX, she was a lifelong resident of Orange. Debbie attended Cowboy Church in Orange and Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville. She was a Quality Manager for RTP Company in Orange where she worked 30+ years. Debbie also was a reporter for the Vidor Vidorian for 10 years after graduating from high school and wrote her own stories. Her favorite thing to do is genealogy she absolutely loved it. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 6, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Singleton Cemetery in Vidor. Debbie is survived by her husband of 34 yrs Bryan Spurgeon of Orange, TX, sons Jacob Bryan Spurgeon and his partner Frank Allen of Austin, TX, Tyler Montana Spurgeon and his partner Michayla of Orange, TX, father Dicky Courts of Vidor, TX, sister Anita Phillips and her husband Billy of Vidor, TX, Brenda Burnham and her husband David of Orange, TX, her aunt Hazel Courts, cousins, nieces and nephews, a great nephew Dawson and a great niece Rachelle whom she thought of as her own "Grandchildren. Debbie was preceded in death by her mother Karolyn Courts, in-laws Rayford and Hazel Spurgeon.
