David Lanier Stanton

DAVID L. STANTON, 75, of Evadale, TX. died Friday, January 24, 2003 at his residence in Evadale, TX. A native of Vidor he has lived in Evadale for 50 years, and was the the owner of the Rebel Inn for 30 years in Evadale. He was a 50 year member of the Pine Forest Masonic Lodge # 1420, and also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #1111 in Evadale, and member of the Vidor VFW # 8246. Funeral services will be Monday, January 27, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Jett Cemetery in Orange TX. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 26, 2003 at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Dorothy L. Stanton of Evadale, TX., Sons: John Q. Stanton, and Tracy O. Stanton both of Evadale, TX., Sisters: June Ackermann of Sonoma, CA., and Winnie Willey of Orange, TX. Five Grandchildren, and Five Great Grandchildren.
