Darrel William Tingley

Darrel W. “D.W.” Tingley, 96 of Vidor died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in Houston. A native of Martinsville, IL, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. D.W. was a retired Pipefitter with Local Union #105 and was a founding member of the Vidor Volunteer Fire Department. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Restlawn memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. D.W. was preceded in death by his parents Minnie McNary Tingley and Norman Tingley. He is survived by his loving wife, Violet, of seventy years, daughters Sheila Moore and her husband Allen of San Antonio, TX, Judy Stephens and her husband Carl of Sugarland, TX, brother Maurice Tingley and sister Kate Hansman both of Illinois, 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 8 great-grandchildren.
