Darlene Fomby, 68, of Vidor, died Sunday, March 7th, 2021 at Baptists Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and member of First United Methodist Church in Vidor. She retired from Beaumont ISD as a payroll clerk. Darlene loved sewing, and was a part of the sewing group for her church, baking and cake decorating, hosting social gatherings with friends and family, and mostly loved any time spent with her family and grandchildren. Visitation for Darlene will be held at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Her funeral service will be Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. She is survived by her daughters Candace and husband John Perkins of Lumberton, TX and Kim and husband Brian Spencer of Clinton, Iowa, brothers James and his wife Doretta Moorman of Vidor, TX and Don and his wife Jeanette Moorman of Vidor, TX, and 2 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Iona Moorman and her husband Roy Fomby.
