Dan "Coon" Taylor Thomas

Dan "Coon" T. Thomas, 89 of Mauriceville died Sunday, April 29th, 2018 at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaumont. Dan was a native and lifelong resident of Orange County. He retired from American Bridge/U.S. Steel after 40+ years as a welder. Dan also farmed, ranched and he enjoyed hunting. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Eaves Cemetery in Gist, TX. Dan is survived by his son Glenn Thomas of Mauriceville, TX, sister Kitty Coats of Deweyville, TX, 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to National Kidney Foundation.
