Cynthia Gaye Edwards-Duplichan, 71, of Vidor, Texas passed away in the presence of her loved ones on August 19, 2024 in Elk City, Oklahoma. Cynthia Gaye was born on February 5, 1953, and honored her family as a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is retired from Vidor ISD where she served students as a bus driver. Cynthia attended Turning Point church, and chose to live fully everyday. She enjoyed evenings on Smith Lake listening to Christian worship music. Cynthia is survived by her four daughters, Regina Kirchner, Sunshine Hawkins-Gray, Sarah Peckham-Bergman, Annie Crosby-Prasinick, her only son, John Peckham, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Cynthia is preceded in death by sister, Jill Price, 65, of Vidor, Texas (2021) and her mother, Seleete Hudson, 92, of Vidor, Texas (2022). A memorial service for Cynthia Gaye will be held on Wednesday September 4th at 2:00 PM, and flowers would be greatly appreciated sent as a gift to Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor, Texas. Cynthia Gaye Edwards-Duplichan will be remembered for her free spirit, and her family extends the deepest gratitude and thanks to all friends and relatives who hold fond memories of her years on earth.
