Clifford "Big Bubba" Newton Wells, age 61, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025, at Vidor Health and Rehab. Born in Silsbee, Texas, Clifford spent most of his life in Vidor, where he became a beloved member of the community.
Clifford was a skilled truck driver and mechanic with a deep love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Whether cruising down the open road or tinkering in the garage, he found joy in all things mechanically. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by family, sharing stories, and creating unforgettable memories. Clifford's easygoing nature and genuine smile made him a friend to many.
He is survived by his loving siblings: Sara Watson and husband Vern Wolf of Brookeland, TX; Mary Durham and husband Ernest of Orange, TX; Sophia Tullis and husband Danny of Vidor, TX; Anthony Newton Wells and wife Peggy of Lufkin, TX; Debra and husband John of Jasper, TX; Trisha and husband Glenn of Jasper, TX; and Gwenda Drago of Colorado.
He will also be remembered by his cherished nieces and nephews, Chelsea Batchelor and husband Hunter of Orange, TX, and Ashley Durham of Austin, TX, Crystal Hamilton of Vidor, TX, along with his honorary brother, Tony Bergeron of Vidor.
Clifford will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of hard work, love of family, and passion for the open road will live on in the hearts of many.
