Clifford James Abshire

Clifford "C.J." James Abshire, 83, of Vidor, passed away on Sunday, June 9th, 2024, at Oak Wood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. Born in Lake Arthur, Louisiana, C.J. was a longtime resident of Beaumont, Texas before relocating to Vidor six years ago. C.J. proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, retiring with honor after a distinguished career. Following his military service, he continued his life's work as a supplies boat captain for the oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, where he was known for his dedication and expertise. C.J. is survived by his loving family, who will remember him as a devoted and caring individual. His legacy of service, hard work, and love will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
