Claude Williamson, Sr.

Claude “Goober” Otis Williamson Sr., 73, of Vidor died Monday February 3, 2003 at his residence in Vidor. He was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. Goober was a member of the Pine Forest Masonic Lodge and was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was the owner of Goober Convenient Store from 1955 - 1976 in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday February 5, 2003 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday February 4, 2003 at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Betty Williamson of Vidor, TX., sons: Claude Williamson, Jr of Vidor, TX., Clyde “Bubba” Williamson of Vidor, TX., daughters: Theresa Joyce Breaux of Manvel, TX., Claudia Ann Williamson of Vidor, TX., Margaret Williamson of Vidor, TX., brother: Bobby Williamson of Vidor, TX., 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren
