Claude Wayne Johnson

Wayne Johnson, 50 of Vidor died Friday, July 13th, 2018 at his residence. A native of Beaumont, TX, he was a longtime resident of Fannett, TX before moving to Vidor 8 years ago. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Vidor. Wayne worked as a RN for 25 years sharing his special compassion with his patients. He enjoyed fishing and watching football, and loved studying history, especially the World War II era. But most of all he loved being with his family and friends. Wayne always had a ready smile and a kind word for everyone he met. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Wayne is survived by his wife of 22 years Paige Johnson, sons Will and Grant Johnson all of Vidor, TX, parents Robert and Linda Johnson of Fannett, TX, brother Lynn Johnson and his wife Elaine of Beaumont, TX, sisters Beth Bell and her husband Jeff of Fannett, TX and Amanda Johnson of Houston, TX.
