Clarence James "Cj" Mayea

Clarence James "CJ" Mayea. On December 9th, 2017 at 12:18 p.m. while surrounded by his loving wife and four daughters, CJ Mayea smiled one last time, then gently slipped into the arms of the angels. CJ was a 1957 graduate of Vidor High School, retired from the Pipe Fitters Local 195, and a long time resident of Buna, TX. Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife Dotty Mayea, daughters Diana McDaniel and her husband Lynn of Willis, TX, Christine Knight and her husband Kenney of Beaumont, TX, Jenell Williams and her husband James of Buna, TX and Sheri Kelly and her husband Rowdy also of Buna. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, brothers Ronnie Mayea and his wife Lynn of Vidor and Danny Mayea and his wife Linda also of Vidor. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Mayea of Vidor, his mother Elnora Mayea of Vidor and brother Mark Mayea also of Vidor. His easy laughter, quick humor and loving heart made him seem larger than life. He will always be missed and remembered by everyone who knew and loved him.
