Clarence E. Cole, 77, of Vidor died Sunday, September 7, 2003 at his residence. A native of Call, TX., he has lived in Vidor since 1976, and was a retired welder for US Steel in Orange, Texas. He proudly served in the US Army for 30 years before retiring with the rank of E-7. He served inWWII, the Korean Conflict, and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Graveside services will be Friday, September 12, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Hilde Cole of Vidor, sons, 1st SGT Bruce Cole USMC of San Clemente, CA., Michael Cole of Dallas, TX., Clarence Cole, Jr., of Mathis, TX., daughters, Margit Chiselbrook of Arlington, TX., Sandy Black, Clarissa Clark, and Renata Teague all of Mathis, TX., brothers, Marshall Cole of Buna, TX., Douglas Cole of Kentucky, sisters, Eleen Burchett of Kentucky, Lenell Rex of Henstead, TX., and JoAn Cole of Orange, TX., and Sixteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
