Charles Robert Bunner, Sr.

Charles R. Bunner, Sr., 73, of Vidor died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was born on August 23, 1935 in Holland, IN., and has lived in Vidor for 35 years. He proudly served his country and retired after 20 years from the United States Navy, and later retired from GSU-Entergy. He was a member of the Wednesday morning breakfast club for the GSU retirees. He was an active member of First Methodist Church of Vidor, a lifetime member of the Vidor VFW, he loved fishing, and working in his yard and rose garden. He loved spending time with his family and friends, he was a great loving father husband and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. Charles was preceded in death by his son Alan Bunner, and parents Burt and Pauline Bunner, and his brother Joe Sibrel. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Norine Bunner of Vidor, sons Ron Bunner and his wife Maria of Jackson, TN., Victor Bunner of Vidor, Chuck Bunner and his wife Christina of Vidor, adopted son Jerry Stanley of Vidor, daughter Gail Broussard and her husband Jerry of Vidor, three brothers and one sister and eleven grandchildren.
