It is with great sadness that the Hess family announces the passing of Charles Ray Hess Sr., on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the age of 83.
A native of Cameron Texas, and longtime resident of Orange County, Charles was a Commercial Construction Superintendent for over 40 years, and later in life he was a truck driver. More than anything, he loved his family. He also enjoyed drawing, fishing, hunting, a good western movie and a fine cigar.
Charles will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 40 years, Brenda, and his children, Charles (Sherry), Christopher (Nancy), Craig (Linda), Clayton (Kasey), Dixie (Ricky).
Charles will also be fondly remembered by his twelve grandchildren, Justin (Kerri), Rachel (Tim), Matthew (Angi), Joshua (Amber), Kristen (Robert), Ryan, Sarah (Andrew), Teleya, Michael, Winter, Collin and Mark, by his twelve great-grandchildren, Kayli, Macklhea, Ami, Jayden, Makenzie, Alannah, Olive, Micah, Corbin, Logan, Adalyn, and Everleigh, by his sister, Anna-Marie Abel (Marty), by his brother James Condry (Lisa).
Charles will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family, dear friends and lifelong dear friends Lavonne and Charlie.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother Claira Gertrude Wittington “Grandma Gert” and father Charles Gay Hess.
In lieu of flowers those who so desire, may make memorial donations in Charles memory to the CHRISTUS Hospital – St Elizabeth, 2830 Calder St, Beaumont, TX 77702
