Cecil Lanar Chambliss

Cecil L. Chambliss, 81, of Vidor died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Harbor Hospital in Orange, TX. A native of Shelbyville, TX., he has lived in Vidor since 1961, and was a retired machinist after 33 years with Ideco. Cecil served his country in the United States Army. Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Del-Rose Cemetery in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. Cecil is survived by his son Cecil W. Chambliss of Mauriceville, and James M. Chambliss of Vidor, daughters Brenda Culbreth, and Carolyn Jagneaux both of Vidor, brothers William Chambliss of Kirbyville, and Joe McCary of Shelbyville, eleven grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren.
